Taupo is a mixture of straightforward and more technical features. It boasts one very long straight followed by sections of extremely tight and twisty corners. Added to this the circuit has undulations which adds different challenges to car set up. Cars need to be nimble to handle the tight infield but the long straight requires raw power to carry out any passing moves before dropping back into the left-right-left sequence leading onto the home straight!
