Prime and Sky TV confirmed as host broadcaster
The latest in TV arrangements can be found in the Third Edition of Race News (30/11/2012):
The 2013 Toyota Racing Series and NZV8s championship events will be broadcast on Prime and Sky Sport this coming season.
Each round of the Toyota Racing Series will screen in a prime-time slot on SKY TV on the Friday evening following each round, while the NZV8s will play in a similar time slot on the Sunday night.
“Free to air” viewers will enjoy the coverage on Prime TV the following weekend also. SKY TV will then rescreen each episode at least three times over their sports channels.
The team at MotorSport NZ along with David Hedge from Volt TV have been working hard to secure the deal which will be fantastic step up for the two categories.
We’re excited about moving back to a post-produced programme where we will be able to show all the drama and excitement of a race weekend. We will have in-car cameras in all cars so none of the action will be missed.
Toyota Racing Series talk about their ground breaking international TV exposure in a separate article within Race News.
TV arrangements as stated in the First Edition of Race News (17/10/2012):
TV has been confirmed for the series
A television package has been confirmed with an announcement of channel to come before the end of October.
We can confirm that we have a package which includes a minimum of two hours coverage on free to air TV and also Sky TV. The programme will be post-produced as we feel we can provide a superior product which includes real colour and personalities from each event, as opposed to live racing which limits you to what’s happening on the track. Each event will be played on free to air TV the weekend after the event, and then replayed four times on Sky Sport.
